Marvin Sall

Marvin Jay Sall, age 93, of Allendale, passed away peacefully and went home to be with his Lord on Friday, November 10, 2023. Marvin was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean War. Marvin loved the Lord, enjoyed serving in his church, and spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren grow up. In his spare time, he loved to be outside in his garden. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Margaret Sall; siblings, James and Katheryn Sall, Verna and Adrian Glass, Angeline Sall, Harold and Beatrice Sall, Calvin and Florence Sall; and brother-in-law, Robert Heyboer. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Vonnie and Jack Koning, Ron and Shelly Sall, Scott and Deb Sall; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Matthew Koning (Allie), Steve and Laura Uildriks (Annabelle, Natalie), Anthony and Audra Sall (Aurora, Abram, Axel), Jeremy Sall (Evelyn), Nicholas Sall, Alyssa and Adam Bouwman, Micah and Chelsey Sall, Austin and Lauren Sall (Elijah, Lincoln); sister, Gladys Heyboer; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf, 6651 Scott St., Allendale, with Rev. Aaron Vriesman officiating. The burial will be held at Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Monday from noon-1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
