Mark Douglas VanderJagt, age 51, of Jenison, Michigan, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, September 26, 2021. Mark was preceded in death by his dad, Douglas Elmo VanderJagt; and his grandparents, Elmo and Ethel VanderJagt. Surviving are his wife, Nadene Marie VanderJagt; his daughters, Savannah VanderJagt and Sylvia VanderJagt; his sons, Derryk VanderJagt and Daniel VanderJagt; his mother, Rose Postema and stepdad, Rog Postema; and his sister, Janelle Sherrod. He is also survived by his extended family and the many people he touched. Mark was a family man who was passionate about providing, protecting, and loving his wife and children. He was selfless, dedicated, encouraging, supportive, and patient. He is now at peace in the arms of Jesus Christ. Gone too soon, he will be so very missed. Please join his family for a visitation on Saturday, October 2, 2021, from 5-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. A service to celebrate Mark’s life will be held at Daybreak Church (3501 Baldwin Street, Hudsonville, MI 49426) on Sunday, October 3, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Geoff Echart officiating. The burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the VanderJagt Children’s Fund are requested.
