Mark Robert Richmond

Mark R. Richmond, age 68, of Rockford, was called home to be with Jesus surrounded by his family on Thursday, October 10, 2024, after a courageous journey with Alzheimers. Mark was loving and a kind hearted person who was blessed with a great sense of humor. He had an affectionate love of dogs, and was a huge Wisconsin Badger fan. Mark proudly served in the US Air Force, stationed at Reese Air Force Base in Texas. During his time of service, Mark received Christ in his life. Mark was a Medical Dosimetrist in Radiation Oncology for over 30 years. He was blessed with a gift of bringing comfort to many patients during his career. Mark was an active member of River Rock Church in Rockford, serving with his time and talents in various ways including mission trips to Africa and Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Loraine Richmond. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Rebekah (Brennan) Ouellette; his siblings, Jean Garde, Paula (Ben) Richmond, John (Cheryl) Richmond, Beth (Doug) Dunlap; and many loving nieces and nephews.  A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont, MI with  Pastor Bill Flavin officiating.  Following the services Mark will be laid to rest in Madison, Wisconsin.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hilarity for Charity.
