Mark Melendez, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 4, 2025. Our brother was a very private man. A nomadic soul, he did not like to stay in one place for too long. He loved to visit for a few here and there but could not sit still for very long. He was very talented in many things but never boasted about it. He dreamt of having his own business one day and was working to make that dream a reality. Mark was also a comedian and could make you laugh on your worst day. If you knew him as a friend, he most likely thought of you as family. It was recently brought to our attention that he preferred mornings, which would account for his love of donuts and sweets for breakfast. So, the next time you have one, give a salute to Mark. You will be missed.

I don’t even know where to start. Everywhere in my home, there are memories of his great talent. He had worked in my home for many years. We loved his work, we appreciated his company and furthermore he was like family. Boly and I are saddened to hear of this tragic loss. We were very fortunate to have had one last meal with Mark a week ago. His work will have a forever left a mark in our home. Mark will be missed dearly.

What a great tribute to Mark. Although I did not know Mark personally, I did know his brothers and know his siblings are missing him. RIP Mark! My thoughts and prayers are with the Melendez family during this difficult time.

I grew up w/ Mark and he often babysat us - he lived a few houses away. He was always over. I believe he may have worked w/ our dad on some carpet and locksmith jobs. The last time I saw him, he came over and installed a garbage disposal. I always liked him. He WAS funny and could make you laugh - a total jokester. I know life was not always kind to him but I always wished him well. RIP Mark - I hope you find peace wherever you are.
