We here on earth lost a remarkable man, Mark Talaski (age 68), on Saturday April 26, 2025 after an unexpected medical emergency. Mark was known for his adventurous (sometimes mischievous) spirit, love of all things outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and above all being a loving husband, exceptional son, brother, uncle, cousin, and an incredible friend. He was outgoing, laughed easily, loved wholeheartedly, and would do anything for those he loved. Making sure others were comfortable and had everything they needed was his trademark. He truly enjoyed the many good times and special people in his life. Mark was born December 11, 1956 in Pigeon, Michigan to Jean and Bernie Talaski, and spent his younger years in Bad Axe, Michigan. After high school, he relocated to Grand Rapids, Michigan where he began a long career in the transportation industry. Mark loved to travel anywhere there was good fishing to be done, which took him to places such as Mexico, Alaska, Colorado, Florida, and Tennessee. He also loved dogs and will be sadly missed by his black lab, Nortin. He met and married his beloved wife, the former Kim Kredell, 38 years ago on June 7, 1986. His greatest joy was having her by his side to walk through this life. Kim survives along with his brother, Mike (Marcia) Talaski of Rockford, MI; brother-in-law, Randy (Dianne) Kredell of Ruby, MI; nieces, Kate (Todd) Griffin of Denver, CO, Rachel (Tom) Charno of Grand Rapids, MI; nephew, Nick (Holly) Talaski of Seminole, FL; great-nephews, Brooks Griffin, Graham Griffin, Jude Charno, and great-niece, Ivy Talaski. Also surviving are his Aunt Margie Woychowski, Uncle Carl Talaski, and numerous cousins. Preceding him in death were his parents, Jean and Bernie Talaski; mother-in-law, Anna Mae “Maisie” Kredell; father-in-law, Albert Kredell; brothers-in-law, Mike and Brian Kredell and sister-in-law, Susan Zalewski; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park Ave., SW, Wyoming MI 49509, on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 11:00 am with Rev. Larry King presiding. Family members will be available to meet friends and family beforehand at 9:30 am at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
