Mark Edward Brehm

Mark Brehm, age 81, of Wyoming passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2026, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. He joins his wife of 56 years, Ann Marie; and son, Patrick.

He is also preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Rita Brehm; his sister, Barbara; and brother-in-law, Jay Johnson.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Michael (Amy) Brehm, Amy (Shawn) Moore, and daughter-in-law; Megan Brehm; grandchildren, Daniel, Josie, Adam, Joshua, Mallorie, Jaysen and Kyle. Also surviving is a sister, Kay Johnson; and brother, Doug (Kathy) Brehm; and many nieces and nephews.

Mark was an avid sports fan, attending countless Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings games, and fantasy camps. He also enjoyed playing softball, hockey, and volleyball , and he participated in tournaments all over the country. Above all he found joy in spending time with family. Whether it was together in the backyard pool or down South in the Maderia Beach condo, Mark could be found laughing surrounded by those he held close. He will be dearly missed. He was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of St. Sebastian’s Catholic Church.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Wednesday, March 18 at  St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 9408 Wilson SW, Byron Center with Msgr. Bill Duncan officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming, as well as on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Sebastian's Catholic Church or the Kirk Gibson Center for Parkinson’s Wellness.
