Mark Andrew Brunsink

Mark Andrew Brunsink, age 54, of Dorr, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, November 11, 2017. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 31 years, Sheryl Brunsink; children, Zachary Brunsink, Abigail (Dan) Dominguez, Joshua Brunsink, and Lydia Brunsink;  his grandchildren, Judah and Mathias Dominguez; father, Ronald (Bonnie) Brunsink;  brothers, Steve (Debbie) Brunsink, Jaime (Jennifer) Brunsink;  brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sally (Jerry) King, Duane (Teresa) Johnson, Gary (Chari) Johnson; 10 nieces and nephews;  and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends; as well as friends who are like family, including his beloved ResLife Small Group; many employees, past and present, at B.C. Pizza of Dorr, who affectionately refer to him as “Mr. B.” Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Brunsink; and his parents-in-law, Neal and Shirley Johnson. Mark walked with His Lord and Savior many years, but the last chapter of his life was by far the sweetest, with a new level of closeness to his Father, and boldness for Jesus. Mark worked as an engineer for 22 years, before pursuing the lifelong dream of owning his own business and working with his wife and children. He opened B.C. Pizza of Dorr in 2005 and often said he was “living the dream”.  Mark enjoyed being with family, the outdoors, working with his hands, snowmobiling, cars, history, telling stories and lifelong learning. His humility, kindness, selflessness, and quick wit will be greatly missed. The service to celebrate Mark’s life will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Resurrection Life Church in the ResCenter, 5100 Ivanrest Ave SW, Grandville.  Please enter through doors “E” or H”.  His son-in-law, Pastor Dan Dominguez and Pastor Dean Wheeler will be officiating. All are welcome.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Interment will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery in Kentwood.  For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Walking By Faith, Grandville, MI.

We want to send our deepest sympathy to you Sheryl, Zach and the rest of the family. Mr B will truly be missed by so many. He was such a great person and boss Kyle was so lucky to work with and for you both for as long as he did. Please know you are all in our prayers as we can only imagine the hole that is left in your hearts. Mark was such a light of Gods love and a great example for all he came in contact with. One day we shall see him again ❤️ Sending love and hugs

To carry the name Brunsink is a tremendous blessing. Mark demonstrated the same qualities as the others in his family - compassion, grace, kindness and godliness. He was a blessing and his homegoing leaves a huge void. It is my prayer that the Lord will fill the hole with His love and peace and meet your every need. Sending you love. Kim Murphy

Mark would always light up any room he walked into! Always had an encouraging word, and made each person feel loved and cared for as he would inquire about how they were and would listen, really listen to them. Mark has touched so many people through his compassion, kindness, and generosity. We will all miss him greatly. Love you all!
