Family owned and operated for over 85 years.
Mark Allan Schrader, age 61, of Wyoming formerly of Muskegon, went to his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 36 years, Dawn; children, Chris, Andrea, Sarah (Arik), and Starlette; grandchildren, Kylie, Sophea, Ariella, Gannon, Dakota, Adelyn, Oden, Jayce, and Izabella; brother-in-law, Earl (Janice) Thompson; sisters-in-law, Kathy (Wayne) Stevenson, Helen (Bob) Nelson, Lola (Kevin) Hickman; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Growing up in Muskegon, Mark’s love for water came naturally. He had a passion for boating and other water activities, bowling, camping, bonfires, and a good ol cold beer every now and then. Mark had a smile and laugh that would light up the room. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help out. He had a zest for life and could be found living life to the fullest. He was known for his one liners: “good, good, good”, “hey, I know you”, but the most memorable one being “Hell YEAHH”
Mark had a passion for traveling with his wife (Dawn), or adventuring on family vacations. He was a diehard U of M, Detroit Lions, Tigers and Red Wings fan, no matter what. He also enjoyed football, baseball, hockey, Nascar, and watching his son-in-law race at Berlin Raceway. His love for sports extended beyond the game—he found true joy in collecting memorabilia that told the stories of his favorite teams and players. In his spare time, he could often be found cheering on his children and grandchildren at their many sporting events and activities, he was always their biggest supporter. Whether caring for pets or simply enjoying the company of animals, they brought him comfort, joy, and companionship throughout his life. Through all of his many challenges in life he never lost his faith or questioned “why me”.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to West Michigan Hospice as well as the caregivers, and dietary staff of Cortland of Wyoming.
