Marilyn Ruth Ayers

Marilyn Ruth Ayers, age 83, of Kentwood, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 7, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Herbert; grandchildren: Scott and Tyler; daughter-in-law, Terri Ayers; daughters: Jane Denton, Joie Henry; brother, Jack. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Patrick and Rhonda Ayers, John Ayers, Mike and Nicole Ayers; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Dean Weidenaar; many nieces, nephews and extended family.  She enjoyed her time in Bible study and loved fellow church members dearly.  Marilyn also loved gardening.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood.  A private service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, November 12, 2020 and may be viewed online at www.mkdfuneralhome.com (watch recorded services) at a later date.  Burial will be at Kent Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Guiding Light Mission or Wycliff Bible Translators.
