PIKAART - Mrs. Marilyn L. Pikaart aged 85 passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Ronald Pikaart; daughter, Judy Miller; parents, Robert Hohenstein and Lenora Hohenstein-Lindhout; step-father, Bob Lindhout; sister, Esther Westbrook. Surviving are her children, Nancy (Dan) DeBruin, Carol (Scott) Byxbe, Rick Pikaart; son-in-law, Mike Miller; grandchildren, Kelly (Carlos) Sanchez, Kevin (Angie) Miller, Lisa (Eric) Karns, Jason DeBruin (Tricia Covington), Staci (Taylor) Carroll, Cassie DeBruin, Jeff (Kimber) Byxbe, Melissa (David) Krombeen, Kelsey (Chase) Sherrod, Rachel Pikaart; great grandchildren, Charli, Jaxon, Brezni and Memphis Sanchez, Sydney and Easton Miller, Kohen and Ford Karns, Alabama DeBruin, Oliver and Theo Carroll, Lucy Byxbe, Jayden and Keaton Pikaart; brother, Bob (Barb) Hohenstein; sister, Anna Schneider; brother-in-law, Bob Holmquist; sisters-in-law, Alice Pikaart, Jeanne (Ken) Hallam; many nieces and nephews. Marilyn was born in Grand Rapids on March 15, 1930. She retired June 1, 1990 from General Motors after 22 years of service. Marilyn's family will greet relatives and friends Monday, November 2, 2015 from 6PM to 8PM at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave. Visitation will conclude with a sharing of stories and scripture at 7:45PM. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
