Marilyn Oreson

  Marilyn Oreson, age 87, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 in her home. She was preceded in death her husband, Richard Oreson in 1976; brother, Marvin Currier; and her amazing sister in law, Roberta McIntyre. She was also preceded in death this year by son in law, Ronald Edgerle, who welcomed her into his home with daughter, Carrie 19 years ago. Marilyn loved her family, friends and took joy with her newest twin great-grandbabies, Bennett and Beckett.  Her passion with books, a true movie buff and she never passed up a good game of poker! Marilyn will be missed by many, including daughters, Carrie; grandchildren, Richard Edgerle, Ryan (Nell) Edgerle; and daughter, Cathie (Jeff) Josephson with special granddaughter, Erika Josephson. She also leaves behind her brother Gordon Currier. Marilyn was blessed with her great grandchildren, Jacob, Kayla, Logan and Cullen (Richard) and Garrett, Bennett and Beckett (Ryan) each of whom held a special place in her heart. Also surviving is daughter, Connie Reynolds. In accordance with Marilyn's request, cremation has taken place.  Private graveside services to be held at a later time.  In lieu of flowers, Marilyn requested donations to Erika Foundation, PO Box 141, Northport, NY 11768. A special appreciation to Spectrum Health Hospice since April this year.  They allowed both Marilyn and Carrie to take an active role in decisions, process in the last leg of her journey. All who took an active role in her care were amazing, compassionate especially primary nurses, Louise, and Patty.  Marilyn passed away peacefully and has finally joined our Dad, who has been waiting for over 40 years.
