Marilyn Jean Cotey

Marilyn Jean Cotey, age 90, of Grandville, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Orville Peter Cotey; her daughter, Diane Lynn Cotey; and her son-in-law, Dennis Miller. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Linda Jean and Gerald Bowersox, Sharon Anne Miller, Larry Raymond Cotey; four grandchildren, Dustin and Amelia Miller, April and David Sydow, Darren and Jennifer Miller, Molly Parks; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister, Lorraine and Ronald Novitsky; and extended family. Marilyn volunteered for Widowed Persons Service and loved her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW.  Interment Grandville Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Sunday from 11 am - 1 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to First United Methodist Church, 227 Fulton Street, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
