Marilyn Jean Lowing Barker, age 86, passed away on October 28, 2020. Marilyn was born September 6, 1934 to Lester and Sadie Lowing. In 1953 she married Irving Barker and together they were blessed with 6 children and over 62 years of marriage. She was a member of Grace Community Church in Hudsonville, MI. She was a gifted seamstress, sewing for many who knew her. Marilyn loved the Lord with all her heart and a true prayer warrior for those she loved. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by her husband, Irving Barker, brother, Kenneth Lowing, and brother-in-laws, Cecil Peterson and Thomas Loper. Marilyn is survived by her children, Nancy (Dan) Rittenhouse, Ronald (Jackie) Barker, David (Cheryl) Barker, Marcia (Lee) Bratton, Gregory (Kimberley) Barker and Julie (Brian) Chambers; grandchildren, Jaime (Heather) Rittenhouse, Eric Rittenhouse, Jason (Becki) Rittenhouse. Nathan (Natalia) Barker, Joshua (Rachel) Barker, Hannah Barker, David (Hallie) Barker, Jennifer (Mike) Stoffers, Cortney (Josh) Gobel, Jessica (Mitchell) Treece, Randie Megan (David) Graef, Ashley (Jordan) McMurdie, Schuler (Becka) Barker, Madeleine Barker, Bennett Barker, Lizzy (Alex) LeBon, Gabe Chambers, Travis Chambers and Melanie Chambers; 34 great grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Peterson, Janet (Andy) VanDyke, and sister-in-laws, Maxine Lowing and Angie Loper. Memorial service to be held at a later date.
