Marilyn Hoag

Marilyn Jane Hoag (Moon), age 87, of Wyoming, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 5, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Lyle Hoag; and sons, John Gordon and Paul Raymond. She is survived by her daughter, Laura (Steve) Vande Lune; grandchildren, John Hoag, Jennifer Raynor, Bill (Shanda) Vande Lune; several great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Norman (Yvonne) Hoag; special nieces, Cindy, Carolyn, and Barb; special friend, Edna. A private family burial will be held at Rockford Cemetery.

Marilyn was such a wonderful woman to visit, sit near and learn from...her unfailing love of our Lord was evident in each visit we shared together and in how she managed through her days. We will miss her pretty smile at Vista Springs Assisted Living and miss seeing your family. God bless you.

Your mom was such a sweet lady and truly an living example of Christ's graciousness and love. I have fond memories of her when your father was pastor of Rockford Baptist. I always remember she said she found plenty to keep her busy as a homemaker. So true! 😊 I hope it comforts you to know she is reunited with your father and brothers in the presence of her Lord and Savior, and is free from pain and sorrow. However, it is never easy to lose one's mother; you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
