WISNEWSKI, MARIE ELIZABETH (GODLESKI) March 7th, 1942 - April 18th, 2017 A Letter to the World: Dear World, Today, a sweet soul was taken suddenly from us to rest in the loving arms of the Risen Jesus. She was a wonderful, loving wife, mother of eight children, proud grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of a new little boy, Calixto James. Marie was a generous woman, a gift-giver, kind and happy, feeding and caring for family and friends. She had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. She knitted or crocheted scores of afghans, pot holders and washcloths for everybody. She always had a row of candy jars on the counter for any child who came around. Her home was a warm and welcome place for man or beast. Even the dogs and grand-dogs got Christmas and birthday presents. She was an excellent cook and talented cake decorator, creating hundreds of amazing and beautiful wedding and birthday cakes over the years. She leaves behind her children: Lisa and Steve Nawrocki, Mary Jane and Roger VanTil, JoAnn Wisnewski and friend Dareck Brown, Becky and Mike Pettit, Sara and Eric Olson, Jim and Nicole Wisnewski, Amy DeBoer and Tom Wisnewski. Her grandchildren: Nick Nawrocki and Sarah Vesely, Emily Evers and Chris Milostan, Jake Evers and Gladys Baizan and great-grandson Calixto Evers, Shaelyn Evers, Sierra Pettit, Savannah Pettit, Eden Wisnewski and friend, Jake Klapko, Gabrielle Wisnewski, James Wisnewski III, Joseph Wisnewski, Allison Wisnewski, Thomas DeBoer and friend Hannah Tripp, and LilyJane DeBoer and friend, Nolan Pelfrey. She was Godmother to several of her relatives and to the five VanBeynen boys: Miles, Levi, Crew, Elliot and Finley. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Barb Godleski, brother Tom Godleski and brother Greg and Margie Godleski, and many nieces and nephews. To greet her in paradise are her father and mother, Ted and Jane Godleski, brother, Ted Godleski Jr., in-laws, Val and Florence Wisnewski, nephew, Fred Marklevitz and friends, Shirley Lothschultz and Tom Doyle. Visitation will be at church on Friday from 5 to 9 pm with a rosary at 8:30 pm, and one hour before the Mass celebrating her life at 11:00 am Saturday at Assumption BVM church, Belmont. You don't have to send flowers, because she always had flowers on her table to appreciate while she was alive. If you would like, please donate to the Consolata Sisters or to the Assumption Educational Endowment Fund. I thank you God, for the gift of this wonderful woman's life to me over the last 53 years. Peace to all, Jim (Mr. Jim) Wisnewski p.s.
