To the family,
Thank you for sharing this wonderful lady. I was blessed to have Miss Vellenga as my teacher. Throughout the years she was always available for a chat and an update. She cared. It was evident that this woman walked with God daily.
Sincere Christian sympathy,

Mr. Merritt,
You have my deepest sympathy on the passing of your lovely wife. I always enjoyed talking with her and trying to accomplish what she requested. We may not have always agreed on the solution, but I always respected her and she was always kind toward me. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

What a wonderful Christian and special aunt "Rie" was to me! Her letters over the years, in my mailbox, were a JOY to receive. I will always cherish her positive Christ-like influence in my life. Our prayers are with you, Uncle Joe, at this difficult time.
