Marianne Fletcher

Marianne (Jones) Fletcher (age 69), of Rockford, MI, went to be with her Lord on April 15th, 2017. She was born in 1948 in Galena, Kansas to Kenneth and Fern Jones. She was a graduate of Galena High School, Missouri Southern State University, and received a Master's Degree from Pittsburg State University. She was a lifelong educator, specializing in elementary reading and special education. She served in many schools over her career, including a position with the Dept. of Defense, in Sigonella, Sicily, Italy. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert Fletcher. Two daughters, Tracy DiCocco and Jessica Craig, both of Rockford. Two sons, Michael Fletcher of Joplin, MO and Kenneth Fletcher of Kansas City, MO. She has 12 grandchildren. A Memorial service is scheduled to be held at North Park Baptist Church, 3365 Coit, Grand Rapids, MI on Friday, April 21 at 2:00 pm.
