Marian Ruth Sterk, age 91, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 29, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Sterk; parents, Sipke and Dorothy Berkenpas; son-in-law, Paul Koeman; sister, Janet and Gerald Hassevoort.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ron and Ann Sterk, Marcia and Evart Helms, Gord and Shirley Sterk, Jan and Tom Sjoerdsma, Bruce and Karen Sterk, Ruthann and Greg Kroll, Bev and Kevin Van Dyke, Connie and Kevin Wolffis; 24 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Lois and Gord Veldink; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ann Root, Joe and Alice Sterk, Fran Sterk, Jim and Shirley Schipper, Donna Sterk, Bill and Reet Sterk, Ken and Joyce Sterk, Bob and Betty De Jong, Jeanette Visser, David Visser; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held Monday 11 am at Cornerstone United Reformed Church, 6442 36th Ave., Hudsonville.  Interment Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW and one hour prior to the service at the church.
