Marian Friend

FRIEND - Mrs. Marian Friend, aged 81, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, William K. Friend; parents, Edward and Mary B. Dyer; brother, Lawrence Dyer. Surviving are her children, Kenneth (Dannie Sue) Friend, Kathy Price, Keith (Mickey) Friend, Karen (Tim) Meyers, Kevin Friend, Kurt Friend, Karrie (Hurbert) Knapp; 20 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Joyce Miller. Marian loved camping at Schnable Lake where she assumed the title of Mrs. Mayor after William passed away. When she wasn't camping or spending time with her grandchildren, she loved to go garage sale shopping. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave. with Pastor David Reed officiating. Her family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice.
