Marian Boven

VAN BOVEN - Marian (Beek) Van Boven, aged 89 of Wyoming, MI, passed away April 8, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Marian was preceded in death on August 9, 2010 by her husband of 70 years, James (Jim) Van Boven. Marian will be missed by her five children, Gordon and Carolyn Van Boven, Diane and John Houseman, Marilynn and David Bainbridge, Lee Van Boven and significant other, Lue Hansen; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; sister-in-law, Donalda Richards; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Cornelius (Sam) and Jean Van Boven; several nieces, nephews and friends. Marian and Jim loved their winters in Florida. They stayed in several different places, with the last 20 years in Arcadia, Fl. Marian enjoyed going to potlucks and especially the shows with the Elvis impersonator. Marian was also an avid collector of angels, which she dearly loved. Visitations for Marian will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave. with Rev. David Reed officiating. The family would like to thank Brookcrest Nursing Home and Faith Hospice for the wonderful care they gave our mother.
