CRUZ - Mrs. Maria L. Cruz, aged 80 of Wyoming passed away Friday, February 19,2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maximiliano and Fermina Cruz; sister, Lydia Cruz. Surviving are her children, Rosa Hernandez, Carmen Villa, Evelyn (Mario) Sepulveda, George Cruz, Janet (Michael) Pena; grandchildren, Neftalie (Ciara) Hernandez, Oscar Hernandez, Orlando (Rebecca) Hernandez, Milagro (Steve) Hernandez, Pedro (Grisel) Villa, Jr., Iris Villa, Mario Sepulveda, Samuel Sepulveda, Javier (Amy) Sepulveda, Sara Marie Cruz, Lillian Cruz, Marielena (Thurman Parks) Rodriguez, Yamila (Courtney Taylor) Rodriguez, Enita Bautista; many great grandchildren; brothers, Angel Luis Cruz, Ismael Cruz, Gilberto Cruz, Fernando Cruz, Reynardo Cruz, Juan Cruz; sisters, Maria M. Cruz, Sixta Cruz; several nieces and nephews. Maria was a member of Latin American Services for 10 years, worked with senior meals and GRPS food service. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM Monday, February 22, 2016 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 225 32nd St. SW. The family will greet relatives and friends Sunday from 6PM to 8PM at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave. and one hour prior to the Mass at church.
