Maria Ciria Monarrez-Rodriguez

Maria Ciria Monarrez-Rodriguez, age 73, of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. Maria was a warm, loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother. Her first priority in life was her husband, children, grandchildren and her Saviour, Jesus Christ. She was a devoted Catholic and attended Holy Name of Jesus and St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Churches. She was known for blessing her family and friends before they left, praying for family and those who were sick, and making sure that everyone had been fed before they left. Maria was a very, very social person who enjoyed staying connected to her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Hugo Monarrez, and grandson, Alex Monarrrez, several sisters and brothers, and very special friend and comadre, Florinda Monarrez. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Jose Ramiro; children: Arcelia (Raul) Madera, Daniel (Lorena) Monarrez, Elva (Rey Ramos) Monarrez, and Omar (Norma Ramos) Monarrez; grandchildren: Giovanni Madera, Saul, Bibiana Monarrez, Rey Ramos, Jr., Ricardo Ramos, Carolina, Isabella, Diego, Felicity Monarrez, Noelia, Alessandra Monarrez; sisters: Beatriz Cano, Lucila Quinones, Guadalupe Rodriguez. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Monday, May 1, 2023 at St. Joseph the Worker, 3138 Birchwood Ave SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Jose Luis Quintana presiding. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 3 - 7 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Holy Name of Jesus or St. Joseph the Worker Churches.

Ella era conocida por siempre darle su bendición a sus familiares y amistades antes de que se fueran, siempre oraba por los enfermos y se aseguraba de darles de comer a quienes la visitaran. Maria era muy social y disfrutaba mantenerse cerca de sus familiares y amistades. Ella fue precedida en muerte por sus padres Manuel Rodriguez y Maria Inez Martinez De Rodriguez, su hijo Hugo Monarrez, su nieto Alex Monarrez, algunos hermanos y hermanas y su amiga del alma y comadre Florinda Monarrez. La recordarán con mucho amor su esposo Jose Ramiro; hijos: Arcelia (Raul) Madera, Daniel (Lorena) Monarrez, Elva (Rey Ramos) Monarrez, Omar (Norma Ramos) Monarrez; nietos: Giovanni Madera, Saul y Bibiana Monarrez, Rey Jr y Ricardo Ramos, Carolina, Isabella, DIego, y Felicity Monarrez, Noelia y Alessandra Monarrez; hermanas: Beatriz Cano, Lucila Quinones y Guadalupe Rodriguez. Será infinitamente extrañada por todos sus sobrinos y sobrinas. La visitación fúnebre para familiares y amistades será el Domingo 30 de Abril a partir de las 3:00 pm terminando a las 7:00 pm en Matthysse Kuiper Degraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, MI. La misa de cuerpo presente será el Lunes 1 de Mayo a las 11:00 am, en la Iglesia St Joseph The Worker, 3138 Birchwood Ave, dirigida por el Padre José Luis Quintana. El entierro a seguir en el Resurrection Cemetery.
