Marguerite Stonebrook

Marguerite Ann Stonebrook (Mickey), age 89, formerly of Wyoming, Michigan, died on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Boulder Creek Assisted Living in Rockford, surrounded by her family. Marguerite was born May 17, 1929 in Carson City, Michigan, the daughter of Nick and Helen Grace. She was married to Bill Stonebrook on September 6, 1952 at St. Mary’s Church in Carson City. After graduating from St. Mary’s School, she went to St. Lawrence School of Nursing in Lansing, Michigan and graduated as a registered nurse.  She worked in the hospital and as an industrial nurse for many years in Lansing. She is survived by her two sons, Bill (Sue) Stonebrook, Nick (Deanna) Stonebrook; three daughters, Sue (Rick) Jensen, Kathy (Mike) Devon, Sharon (Jeff) Hollander; ten grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, and her brother. Her husband, Bill, died in December 2004. Marguerite will be lovingly remembered as a sweet and gentle person with a beautiful smile and giving heart. She was a prayer warrior for all.  Family meant the world to her, and her greatest joy was spending time with them. The family would like to thank all of the wonderful caregivers and staff at Boulder Creek Assisted Living for their love and compassion during her stay there. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2018, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Rev. John Vallier presiding.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Friday from 12-1:00 p.m. at the church.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. John Vianney Education Foundation, Right to Life of Michigan, or Kindred Hospice.
