Margie Sheryl Brooks

On February 14, 2021, Margie Sheryl Brooks (Melville) passed away due to injuries from a January 27th car accident that also claimed the life of her husband of 51 years, Carl Brooks. Margie was born on May 30,1949 to James and Jeanne Melville of Grand Rapids. She was proceeded in death by her son, Carl Edward Brooks; her parents; siblings, Sally Melville, James Melville Jr, David Melville, Scott Melville, and sister-in-law Angela Melville. Margie was survived for a few short days by her husband, Carl Brooks; and is also survived by her son and daughter, Jeffrey and Angela Brooks; her sister, Kathy (Phil) Wirtz; and brothers, Dan (Beth) Melville, James Melville, Rick Melville, and Tim (Kim) Melville; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends that she loved dearly. Margie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling with Carl and her kids, spending time on Facebook and seeing all of the pictures of everybody’s families, and always looking forward to the “coffee girls” sleepover. She was loved by everybody, and we will have an empty space in our hearts, but we will always cherish the memories we all have of her. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home, as well as on Saturday from 11-12 prior to the service.
