Margaret Miller

Margaret Miller, age 81, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord on Friday, August 18, 2017. Margaret was born and raised in Dunoon, Scotland; where she met her husband, Benny Miller, who was stationed at the Holy Loch Naval Station. Margaret and Benny were married in 1963 and moved back to the States. Margaret became a U.S. citizen in 1980, however, she was very proud of her Scottish heritage. Margaret will be remembered for her wonderful smile, laugh, and her Scottish accent. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benny in 2010. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Debbie and Rusty Rotman, Kim and Randy Shassberger, Krissy and Amy Miller; grandchildren, Chase and Danielle Rotman, Cara Rotman, Katie and Mike Dekker, Doug and Brandi Diekevers, Abby and Tyler Whitmire, Kinsler Miller; great-grandson, Greyson Dekker; sister, Alice Robb of Scotland; brothers-in-law, Don and Sally Miller, Doug and Barb Miller; and sister-in-law, Nancy Miller.  The family would like to thank the staff of Rehoboth Oaks for their loving and wonderful care of Margaret for the past 2 years. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 23, at 11 a.m. at Rosewood Reformed Church, 2795 Rosewood, Jenison, with Dr. James Goldschmeding and Rev. Howard Moths officiating.  Interment will be held at Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Rehoboth Oaks Adult Foster Care Home.
