Margaret Mary Pitsch

Margaret Mary Pitsch, aged 96 of Alto, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 26, 2015 surrounded by family.  She was preceded in death by her husband, A. Roger Pitsch and her brother, Thomas Claire Anderson. She is survived by her children, Maury and Pamela Pitsch, Nick and Sue Pitsch, Mary Jo and Jeff Leatherman, Janice Olson and Ben Blackport, Kathy and Bob Arsenault; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Margaret lived in the area all her life, earned her Master’s degree from Michigan State University, was a dedicated Algebra teacher at Thornapple Kellogg High School for 16 years, helped her husband manage the family farm, and upon retirement, wintered in Florida until health issues arose. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday at 11a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9669 Kraft S.E. with Rev. Fr. Loc Trinh celebrant. Her family will greet friends and family from 9:30 am until the time of service at the church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Thank you to Hospice of Michigan and the many wonderful caregivers who supported Margaret. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Michigan.
