Margaret “Marge” Steenbergen

Margaret “Marge” Steenbergen, age 92, of Jenison, formerly of Wyoming, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 19, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Richard Steenbergen; son, Larry Steenbergen; two granddaughters, Kelly Kopera, Jenny Uhl; grandson, Jeff Steenbergen; and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Steenbergen. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Gregory and Jane Steenbergen, Richard and Nancy Steenbergen, Janice Scott, Mark and Kimberly Steenbergen; daughter-in-law, Joyce Steenbergen; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Butkiewicz; sister-in-law, Doris Steenbergen; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, with Pastor Rick VanderWall officiating. Interment will be held at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sunset Legacy Foundation or the American Cancer Society. The family wishes to thank the loving staff at Sunset Manor and Emmanuel Hospice for their care and guidance.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you...so hard to lose a mom and Grandma. I remember sitting next to her at one of Ashley's shower...I enjoyed getting to know her and was thrilled to get a pair of her slippers the next Christmas...the ideal Grandma!
