Margaret Lorraine Doxtater

Margaret Lorraine Doxtater, age 94, of Grand Rapids, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, January 1, 2023. Margaret grew up in Wayland and graduated from Wayland High School. She worked at various places over the years but enjoyed being a homemaker most of her life. She was talented at knitting and crocheting. Her family enjoyed vacations they spent together up north or in Honor, Michigan. Margaret cherished her family, whether spending time with her grandkids or going on weekly trips to Culvers. She also enjoyed spending winters in Florida. Above all, Margaret’s faith was important to her and she applied her faith in every aspect of life. She will be missed for her friendship and love for her family. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Glenn Long, Cecil Rogers, and Ken Doxtater; daughter, Centa Powell; son, Ken Long; brother, Larry Knowlton. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Linda Tingley, Larry and Shirley Long; daughter-in-law, Deb Long; son-in-law, Bob Powell; 13 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 11 am at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave, Wyoming. Burial will take place at Benzonia Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family prior to the service from 10-11am. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.
