Margaret Gillhespy

Margaret M. Gillhespy, age 86, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Nellie Moss; her husband, Dale; her son, Gerald; and her grandsons, Vito Jr. and Robert Jr.  Margaret and Dale married in 1954 and were together 47 years, until he passed away in 2001. They loved to go camping, and they walked the Mackinac Bridge every Labor Day. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Robert Gillhespy, Mary Lombardo, Jean (Roger) VanNoller, John (Tammie) Gillhespy, Verna Royston, Teresa Gillhespy; grandchildren: Elizabeth Gillhespy, Vicky (Jason) White, Gina (Jerome) Heitzman, Nicholas (Kami) Lombardo, Kristina (Aaron) Lee, Latasha VanNoller, Melissa Gillhespy, Kevin Gillhespy, Allie Gillhespy, Crystal Royston, Lauren Gillhespy; 21 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at  10 am on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Fr. John Vallier presiding. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 5-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood, with a Rosary at 7:30 pm. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Humane Society of West Michigan.
