Marcy Ann Belt

Marcy Ann Belt, of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at the age of 51. Marcy was born on January 25, 1973 to David and Kathleen Bush. She was a free spirit who lived life on her own terms. Her beautiful blue eyes and infectious smile was evident to all who knew her. Marcy only had a few jobs in her lifetime. She was a loyal and hardworking person who stayed committed to companies where she worked. Although Marcy is gone, we will carry her in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her husband, Chad Belt; her amazing sons, Austin and Dylan; her father, David Bush; mother-in-law, Ann Belt; sister, Mary (Shane) Garner; brothers, David (Jennifer) Bush, Daniel Bush; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Shelly Belt, Kelly (Tammy) Belt, Melanie (Michael) Grewe. She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews, Jacob (Cori), Joshua (Christine), Kaitlin (Caleb), Rayni, Daniel, Margret, Nate, Kayla, Lexy, and Shane along with 8 great nieces and nephews who will always remember her by the huge snack basket she kept stocked for them on Papa’s table.

Marcy was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen; her father-in-law, Maynard and her infant sister, Jean Ann.

Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, December 2 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Kentwood) 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Brian Bush Memorial Fund through St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Marcy’s name.
