Maella Laura Walsweer

Walsweer, Maella Laura Maella Walsweer, age 93, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 23, 2014. She was a nurse at Butterworth Hospital for 25 years. Maella was an avid Detroit Tigers Baseball and University of Michigan Football fan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Walsweer. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Nancy and Charley Green, David C. Walsweer; grandchildren, Chuck Green, Nicole and Chad Nash, Ben and Stephanie Green, David D. Walsweer; 8 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Eleanor and Jim Tageson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Eighth Reformed Church, 841 Burton Street SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Robert Langenberg officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Eighth Reformed Church or Sunset Association – Benevolent Fund. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, May 30, 2014 from 5-8 PM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville), 4145 Chicago Drive.
