Obituary posted January 26, 2018 Nelson, M. Stephan 3/12/1945 - 12/31/2017 Epoufette, MI Nelson, M. Stephan (Steve) Nelson, age 72, passed away on December 31, 2017, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Sue. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Margaret Olson, sister Mary (Richard) Nellans, son Terry Nelson, brother-in-law Tom (Linda) Olson, special niece and nephew Theresa and Tyler Yonker (Olivia, Avery), Cory and Lisa Olson (Alex). He is also survived by his nephews Bob (Liz), Randy (Jennifer), and Russ (Barb) Nellans and several cousins. Steve was a 1963 graduate of Ottawa Hills High School. He was a musician at heart, belonging to the River City Singers and Beats Settin' Home, as well as several other bands. He was the former owner of General Manufacturing, Inc. in Comstock Park, MI. In 1998 he realized his dream of living in the Upper Peninsula. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 AM, March 10 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont. His family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service.
