M. Lynn Martin

M. Lynn Martin died May 29, 2024. She was also known to friends as Lynn Dandridge. Born Marian Lynn Shaber to Marian Wenzel Shaber and William W. Shaber, she is survived by her husband, Thomas Dandridge and by Malcom Martin, her first husband. Lynn is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Jim Gardner, and their son, Clark. She was most herself when kayaking, gardening, volunteering her time at Frederik Meijer Gardens, Ada Parks, West Michigan Land Conservancy, North Country Trail, The Isaac Walton League, The Wild Ones, Rogue River restoration, The Lions Club Eyeglass Project and resulting Mission trips. At Lynn’s request, a green burial will take place at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. A celebration of her life will be held gathering in the wonderful gardens which she created at her home. In lieu of flowers and other memorials, she would prefer that donations be made to outdoor horticulture at Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park (meijergardens.org/donate).
