Lynn Edward Klungle, age 85, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. 

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Julie (Dana) Kleinjans, Cynthia (Terry) Thenikl, Dawn (Neal) Kooiman; grandchildren, Cody (Maddie) Kleinjans, Lindsay Kleinjans, Tyler (Katie) Thenikl, Joseph Thenikl, Mitchell Kooiman, Katelin Kooiman, Holly (Zach) Pendell; great-grandchildren, Maverick Kleinjans, and Jane Pendell; loving partner, Faye Hodges; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Donald (MaryJo) Lamoreaux, Alice (Tom) Matthews; many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Donna (Lamoreaux) Klungle; parents, John and Nina Klungle; sister, Cherie (Charles) Gleason; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Ardis Lamoreaux; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carolyn (Lou) Sabin, Pamela (Don) Perkins. 

Lynn proudly served in the US Navy. He drove semi-trucks for Haven Bush Steel Company for many years and then retired from the Plainfield Township Water Department. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with his “coffee gangs”. 

Funeral services will be held 11 am Tuesday, October 20 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont, with Pastor Bruce Wilson officiating.  Burial will be held at Plainfield Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday, October 19 from 5-8pm at the funeral home and from 10-10:45am on Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
