Lydia Spidell

Lydia Spidell, age 83 of Grand Rapids, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan; sister, Emma Poliskie; her brother-in-law, Finn Nissen. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Linda and Tim John, Irene and Vern Jones, Ellen and Terry Brennan, Michael and Nita Vroma; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Edith Nissen; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Interment Winchester Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 10-11 am at the funeral home prior to the service.  Because of the wonderful love and compassionate care given to mom, the family suggests that memorial contributions be given to Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
