Luis Rafael Hernandez, aged 78 of Grand Rapids, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa E. Hernandez and great-granddaughter, Raji Ali. Luis is survived by his children, Rafael A. (Jodi) Hernandez Sr., Ana R. (Eduardo) Hernandez, Carmen S. (Floyd) Lawrence, Miguel A. (Felicia) Hernandez; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at St. Joseph the Worker Church (San Jose Obrero) corner of Buchanan and 32nd Street, Wyoming with Fr. Steven Cron presiding. Relatives and friends may meet the family at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, on Wednesday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm with a rosary held at 6 pm.
