Lucille Rita McGuire

Lucille Rita McGuire (Trepanier), age 93, of Wyoming, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 30, 2022. Lucille was born in St. Joachim, Ontario, Canada on February 22, 1929. She married Stanley McGuire on July 30, 1949. Stan and Lucille moved their family to the United States in the early 1960’s. Lucille was interested in so many things, especially medical science and natural remedies. She was an accomplished seamstress and loved to bowl. She was a great cook. She made the world’s best chili sauce. She was the best mom and friend a person could ever have. She had an uncanny intuition about the people she loved, which she relied on to guide her family in her own gentle way. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Stanley McGuire; beloved siblings, sisters and brothers-in-law, and countless friends. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Michael McGuire, Patrick McGuire, Deb and Paul Klein, Darlene and Rob Linsley, Tom and Theresa McGuire, Christine and Rob Wait; grandchildren, Aaron McGuire, Matt and Mary McGuire, Molly and Paul Williams, Kelly and Josh Henry, Abby and Brian Petersen, Stacey and Jack Nyenhuis, Amber and Spencer Deneen, Nick and Katie Klein, Shannon and Bob Behnke, Erik Linsley (Becky Farley), Elizabeth McGuire, Erin and Andy Woltjer, Katie and Wade Roberts, Mallorie McGuire (Jake West), Karl, Erik, and Michael Heindlmeyer, Charlie Wait (Jess Hisma), Olivia Wait (Dylan Schreiner), Jackson Wait; 27 great grandchildren with one due in September; sisters and brothers: Charlie and Helen Trepanier, Eva Berthiaume, Julie McCann, Helen and Winston Sysiuk, Claire Renaud, George and Angela Trepanier; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Lucille was a beloved neighbor and friend to so many and the World’s Greatest Mom, Grandma, and GG. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2022 at St. John Vianney Church, 4031 Clyde Park Avenue SW, Wyoming, with Fr. John Vallier presiding. Entombment will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4101 Clyde Park Avenue SW, Wyoming with a vigil at 7:45 p.m. Visitation will also be Thursday, one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Vianney Education Foundation.

Your mom was such a wonderful lady. I loved talking to her. I will never forget how she walked over to visit Pat Brokus when she was ill.she was a wonderful neighbor! May she Rest In Peace with your dad❤️
