Lucille Marie Kikstra-Diephouse, age 92, of Kentwood, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 25, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Louis Kikstra and Ralph Diephouse, and an infant daughter, Julie. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Carl and Ruth Kikstra, Mary and Gary Armstrong, James and Anne Kikstra, Laurie and Rick Noorman; 11 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Roger Nordyke, Joanne Gilmore, Joe and Karen Nordyke; many nieces and nephews. Lucille was a loving, warm, independent woman who loved to cook for her family. She will always be remembered as the woman who “loved to feed the crowd.” Her Bible was her favorite book, and she was devoted to her church and her faith. Lucille was also a determined and steadfast woman who had to quit school at the age of 14 but finished her education in 1974. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of her life. Funeral services will be held on Monday 11:00 am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, with Pastor Brian Vos officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 9-11 am prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Trinity United Reformed Church.

I have great memories of Aunt Lucy. She lived a long and great life touching the lives of so many. She will be missed.

Our sympathy to the entire Kikstra family. You'll be in our thoughts and prayers. I remember her so well and the prettiest house on 52nd street. She was a dear lady.

WHEN SOMEONE YOU LOVE BECOMES A MEMORY, THE MEMORY BECOMES A TREASURE. I have so many fond memories that I will treasure always!! Knowing her for over 50 years I learned a lot from this sweet woman! TILL WE MEET AGAIN LUCY ?
