Lucille “Betty” DeBoer, age 94, of Hudsonville, was called home on Thursday, May 23, 2019.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William DeBoer. She will be lovingly remembered by her three sons, Larry DeBoer, Bill DeBoer, Jeff and Kim DeBoer; grandchildren, Josh Dipiazza, Malia and Travis Huisman, Rachel DeBoer, Becca DeBoer; and great-grandson, Holden Huisman. Betty was always in awe of all the events and inventions she witnessed in her lifetime: from standing in the breadlines in the Great Depression, to World War II, man landing on the moon, the phonograph, television, computers and the internet. She will be remembered for her constant care and support to her children and grandchildren.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Monday, May 27, from 3-5 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  Following the visitation, a service of sharing will be held at 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at Rest Lawn Memorial Park.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
