Loyd William Fuller, age 90, of Grand Rapids, passed away early Monday morning, August 31, 2015. Loyd served his country in WWII in the US Army, fighting from Normandy to Berlin. After the war, he was a distinguished homebuilder and skilled cabinetmaker. Mr. Fuller was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; and two sons, Patrick Fuller and Steven Fuller. He is survived by his five children, Brian (Velvet) Fuller, LuAnne (Roger) Bleiler, Richard (Lynn) Fuller, Janet (Rod) Horricks, and Michael (Pauline) Fuller; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; and three siblings, Crystal (Fuller) Davis, Beverly (Fuller) Belch, and Thomas Fuller. Funeral services will be held on Thursday 11 AM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Interment Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.

I've known Loyd for most of my life....or at least as long as I can remember. He built a beautiful rocking chair for my son when he was born that I will pass on to him when he begins his family. Loyd was one of my dad's co-workers and a dear friend. A friendship that lasted a lifetime. I will miss you Loyd and my heart aches for my dad, losing his good friend. Love and prayers for his family!

I was surprised and saddened to learn of the passing of Loyd. He was a good friend , co-worker and a fine craftsman.
