Lorraine Ruth Vos

Lorraine Ruth Vos, age 86, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 27, 2022. Lori will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sue Goedert, Shari and Henry Luttikhuizen; grandchildren, Davyde Gould, Amanda and Luis Avila, Dana Gould, Arie van Luttikhuizen, Elly van Luttikhuizen; great-grandchildren, Luis, Collin, Mateo, and Asher; extended family and friends. Lori earned her nursing degree at Blodgett Hospital and later her Bachelor’s degree from Aquinas and her Master’s degree at Andrews University. She taught nursing at Grand Rapids Junior College, now Grand Rapids Community College, for many years. She was instrumental in setting up the MAC Lab at GRCC and Alzheimer units at many facilities including Clark Home and Crystal Springs. Lori was very involved in missionary work and outreach, even helping to set up a half-way house in Grand Rapids called The One Way House. God was in the center of her life, and she enjoyed her church family at Celebration Bible Church. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Celebration Bible Church, 4690 8th Ave. SW, Grandville, MI 49418, at 1pm. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Holland Home.
