Lorraine Ada Goeree

Lorraine Ada Goeree, age 92, of Grand Rapids, was called home to be with Jesus on  Friday, August 15, 2025. She was blessed with a great sense of humor and an independent spirit. Lorraine loved doing puzzles and reading in her free time. She retired as a cook from Grand Rapids Public Schools after many years of dedicated service. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Clifford; her son-in-law, Robert Koch; her sisters, Jackie Breen, and Marie Rozema. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Dale and Jane Goeree, Don and Terri Goeree, Sue Koch, Sharon and Troy Kantola; grandchildren, Justin Goeree, Emily and Brandon Holmes, Robert and Melissa Koch, Jenny and Joe Gillen, Seth and Brittany Koch, Ryan Kantola, Alex Kantola and fiancee’ Hannah, Kyle Kantola, Cameron Kantola; 10 great-grandchildren; many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday, August 25, 2025,  at North Park Presbyterian Church, 500 North Park St. NE, Grand Rapids, with Rev. Dr. Philomena Ofori-Nipaah officiating.  Burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 5-8 pm at MKD Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont, and also from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at church.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Porter Hills Foundation Benevolent Fund.
