Loren Lee Bartrand, age 87, of Wyoming, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022. Loren was born and raised in Muskegon Heights to Frank and Blanche Bartrand. He graduated from Michigan State College (MSU) and he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He went to the 1954 Rose Bowl. He met the love of his life, Donna, at a dance at the Wright Patterson A.F. Base. He later worked with the space chimps, “Hamm” and “Enos,” at Holloman A.F. Base in New Mexico. After moving back to Michigan, he worked and retired from the Sentry Insurance Co. for many years. He was a famed fictional author of the “Proud Geezer Chronicles,” which the family cherishes today. He had a great sense of humor, incredible patience, loved being active at the Rogers High School band boosters and sport boosters, and enjoyed ushering at Holy Name of Jesus church. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the church. This man was the highlight of my days when I was so honored to see him. His daughters were always the sweetest as well. I will truly miss my time with him. He is amazing. I’m sorry I won’t be able to make it to visitation. Sending love and happy memories. ❤️

He made me my first and best burrito ever and always made me feel welcomed. He was a kind individual with a great sense of humor who loved to tease and loved his family unconditionally. I will miss our visits.
