Long Thanh Nguyen

Long Thanh Nguyen, age 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 16, 2023. Long battled Stage 4 lung cancer for the last 4 months of his life. He had a deep Catholic faith, even to the end. Knowing he was weak, he was determined to attend Saturday evening mass and received the Eucharist. He was a loving, caring, and generous man, who enjoyed good Chinese buffet foods and listened to music. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Dung Nguyen; his sisters, ToHuong Nguyen, ToTam Nguyen and her husband, Son Nguyen; his sister-in-law, Ngoc Tho Nguyen and Huu Phuoc Nguyen; nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and many friends. A visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at MKD Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave., Wyoming. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Friday, April 21, 2023 at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 1253 52nd St. SE, Kent wood, with Rev. Peter Vu presiding. Relatives and friends can greet the family on Friday from 10-11am before service at the church. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery after service. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Catholic Charities West Michigan.
