Lois Marie Luxmore, age 77, of Kentwood was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. Lois was a warm, caring mother and grandmother who was devoted to her grandchildren. She was described as a “feisty Irish woman.” She enjoyed attending the Grand Rapids Symphony. She also loved the ocean at Breezy Point, Long Island, NY. Lois attended Western Michigan University, graduating with an Executive Secretarial Certificate. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alan and Edna Brenner; brothers, Bob and Skip. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, William (Christine) Luxmore, Robert (Natalie) Luxmore; grandchildren, Hunter, Madison, and Robert W. Luxmore. Lois was a dog lover and treasured her dogs, Spunky and Lady. In accordance with Lois’ wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, November 20 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood. Relatives and friends my meet the family Sunday from 1:00 - 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
