Lois Mae Schantz, aged 90 of Caledonia, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ward and brother, Roger (Mary) Kloote. She is survived by her sons, Bruce (Carol) Schantz, Mark Schantz; granddaughter, Jammie Marshall; great-grandson, Domenick Markham and friend, Danyell; step-grandchildren, Jon "Nick" Leach, Elizabeth (Mike) Dakin, Sue (Don) Aldrich; sister-in-law, Avis (Melborne) Patterson; nieces and nephews, Linda (Jeff) Dunn, Dawn (Skip) McDougal, Jacquelyn (Mark) Oosterhouse, Thomas (Gloria) Kloote, Chris Schantz. Lois loved playing games, especially euchre, hand and foot, and bingo. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12 noon at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 8436 Kraft SE with Rev. Timothy Brand officiating. Interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Members of the family will receive relatives and friends at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel (Caledonia), 616 E. Main St. Monday from 2-4 pm and Tuesday from 11 am -12 noon at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church Youth Group.
