DE FOREST - Mrs. Lois M. De Forest, aged 76, of Grand Rapids, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard A. Cook and Lloyd De Forest also her daughter, Marcia Martineau. Surviving are her children, Cynthia A. Cook, Rick A. Cook; grandchildren, April, Crystal Hope, Ashley Martineau; great grandchildren, Bryce, Sebrea, Kiley; brother, Robert (Judy) Hoekstra; sisters, Kathy (Robert) Kaufman, Bonnie (Don) Beaulieu; several nieces and nephews; dear friends, Sharon Bright and Susan Bunch. Lois enjoyed the Bible Study group that met at Oak Ridge Apts. and also loved Bingo. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave. Interment Rosedale Memorial Gardens. The family will greet relatives and friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions to help her family offset expenses .
