Lionel Barrett

BARRETT - Mr. Lionel Barrett, aged 88 of Wyoming, passed away Monday, December 20, 2010 after a brief bout with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Jennette; his daughters, Dianne (Roger) Austin, Suzanne (Scott) MacIntosh, Annemarie (Bruce) Grove; seven grandchildren, Ryan Abbasse, Jennifer Williams, Chad (Kim) MacIntosh, Andrew MacIntosh, Cameron MacIntosh, Tyler Grove, Lauren Grove; two great grandchildren, Cody and Chase Williams, and Baby MacIntosh on the way; sisters and brothers, Velma (Charlie) Burden, Grace (Gilbert) Merkel, Dorothy Kunard, Ernie (Olga) Barrett, Stanley Barrett, sister-in-law, Helen Barrett, and brother-in-law, Harry Hage. Lionel was born September 22, 1922 and was a veteran of WWII serving from 1942-1946, during which he received four medals. He will also be remembered for his wonderful cooking. Lionel will be dearly missed by his family and also his "Home Acres coffee buddies." We will miss our gentle giant. Memorial services will be held at a later date this spring.
