Linda Sue Lingg

Linda Sue Lingg, age 79, of Jenison went to meet her Savior and her parents in heaven on Sunday, November 25, 2018. Linda grew up in Sturgis, the only child of Frank and Isabel Kershner. She and Hugh met for the first time as complete strangers at a church sponsored conference. A short time following the conference, each one of them knew he/she was “the one.” The first time Hugh saw Linda, the Lord told him, “This is your wife.” Later, Linda said she wanted to come close to Hugh and rest her head on his shoulder but she was not sure how Hugh would respond. She had no idea about what  the Lord had said to Hugh at that first meeting. In the recent past, Linda reaffirmed her love for Hugh by telling him, “You were the man I had been looking for for years.” She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 39 years, Hugh; her son, Michael and Sara Lingg; brother-in-law, John and Dodi Lingg; and sister-in-law, Ida May Thomas. Linda was preceded in death by both her parents. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. December 4, 2018, at American House (Lodge), 1028 Allen Springs Lane, Jenison, with Bishop Ray Birkinsha officiating. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Spectrum Health Foundation - Neurology Unit.
