Linda Potter

Linda Susan Potter, age 68, of Fremont, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, after a courageous twenty-five-year battle with cancer.

Linda lived a full and storied life. She had a love for travel and spent several years living in England, an experience she cherished. A talented artist in many mediums, she expressed her creativity in countless meaningful ways. As a devoted single mother, Linda made many sacrifices for her family, creating a home filled with warmth, love, and comfort.

She was a compassionate pet owner, a voracious reader, and enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. She loved watching Family Feud, gardening, and had a particular fondness for Indian cuisine.

She was preceded in death by her son, Chadd Miller; her mother, Cleo Miller; her father, Jack Lindy Miller; and her brother, Kent Miller.

Linda will be lovingly remembered by her children, whom she adored, Samantha Potter; Adam and Kaitlyn Potter; and Alex Potter and Molly Niemchick; as well as her beloved animal companions, Harley, Cobie, and Smokey.

A funeral service will be held at 7 pm on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale) 6651 Scott St. with Pastor Bruce Wilson officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. In honor of Linda, the family invites you to wear vibrant colors. Burial will take place at Allendale Township Cemetery on Saturday, May 2 at 11 am. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Grand Valley Artists.
